Is it worth the $99 for the new El AL space seats? I'm traveling tomorrow jfk to tlv with wife and 2 children. Is it worth almost $400 for the space seats?

On most airlines, no. That being said, there are some carriers that fly a “real” Business class product intra Europe, Turkish comes to mind

Going to TLV there is some language in the rules that sounds like it isn't valid but in practice people have reported using them.
