1 hour in LHR is quite short (especially traveling with kids). and if there's even a 1/4-1/2 hour delay your in trouble.
+1
I would never do a 1hr connection in LHR

Is a 13 year old boy allowed to travel by himself to Israel?
Probably depends on the airline but I doubt any of the airlines flying to Israel would allow a child that age to fly not as an "unaccompanied minor".

I am looking for 5 tickets from NYC to Israel in economy, to go on 9/21 & return the evening of Motzei Sukkot, direct flights only. The prices I'm seeing are above $1,500.
Any ways to bring them down a bit?
Is there an agency who grouped booked those flights & is reselling them?
You can also PM me.

Does AA usually rebook on UA?

My AA flight was delayed and the customer service counter rebooked me on a United flight.

Pleasantly surprised
120 characters? Hmm, I wonder what I could write with 64 characters. Boy, it's gonna be hard to use up 15 characters. W-

I'm flying as a family on United Basic economy fares. We booked on 2 seperate reservations. I called united to have both reservations merged but was told that that's not possible. Is there any way to assure that we will all be seated together?
PM me for airline compensation help. Your case is not lost!

No.
Even if you were on one reservation there’s no guarantee for that in BE.

Get to the gate early and ask them.  But there may  no longer be seats near each other.
