Why does AA SCL-MIA not have a Kosher meal option?

I chatted and they told me this:
Due to quality inconsistency whereby some passengers report receiving good quality kosher meals, while others have experienced issues like stale bread, bland flavors, or meals not meeting kosher standards, it's generally recommended to pre-order well in advance to ensure availability. Since there is no option you need to manually request with the airport agent.
Sounds like AI

Makes no sense
I remember hearing from a family member years ago that there is no kosher commissary there
Because of that he didn't usually get kosher
Once there was a concierge key or other high status passenger who ordered kosher on the same flight and they had kosher options fron an actual restaurant

Unsure if this is the right thread.

If I’m flying to TLV with a stop in FCO (Rome) 2 separate itineraries with a 90 minutes between the2 flights. Will I need to clear customs and security again (no checked baggage) TIA

If you have the 2nd boarding pass beforehand you won't need to clear customs, not sure about security

Assuming that you are arriving and departing out of the same terminal
Could be things have changed but I don't remember there being a way to move from 1 terminal to the other airside

I'm scheduled to fly elal in April with dw & lap infant. Online it shows 1 free seat avail other than that it's all space seats. Anyone has any recommendations. Should I pay the $200 for seats next to each other or is it likely that we'll get space seats together for free at checkin

I am 62,000 United miles short for our trip. What would be the best way to purchase / get them?
I have Capital One (or Amex) points that I wouldn't mind transferring to an airline that would possibly then transfer to UA.
Any help in how to go about this would be greatly appreciated.

I need them real soon, definitely don't have time to open a new cc....
The specific tickets I need are not available for purchase with cash either, so I'm really desperate for a way to transfer my current (Cap one or Amex) points/miles into UA miles.
Any suggestions?

Have you looked into the cost of just purchasing them directly from United? It's not the best deal, but United does targeted offers, and it might make sense if your redemption is a great one.

Another option is transferring to Marriott Bonvoy from Amex, though the Marriott to United conversion is 3:1.....

EL AL flights are full these days and they won't have seats together at check-in. you can either pay $200 for space seats now or keep looking if anything opens up in reg economy

Hey

I need to book flights from tlv to jfk for mid September.
Considering uncertainty and war, we have been recommended to do only elal and only direct as of now.

Currently, prices are 1300 usd round trip.

Some people have said it's worth waiting as prices will likely drop when trump takes office or when we get a few months closer.

Any opinions or insight?

TIA

IIRC there is a 10K bonus for every 60K Marriot transferred which would effectively make it 2:1

Do Marriott Bonvoy transfers to United post instantly?

Flying with Elal from EWR to TLV. I will be going from LAX to EWR separately with United.. any chance I can have them check the luggage directly through.. so I don't have to get my luggage and recheck at EWR...

YMMV, depends on the check-in agent at LAX, simply try to ask them at check-in. you won't know before getting to the airport

I have had luck in the past with partner/alliance airlines. Was wondering if it was possible with non partner airlines.. I have silver status with united if it helps.. and will be flying on business with elal if this helps..

Anyone have experience with this?

Will effect the connection time needed..

In worse case scenario, how much connection time do you suggest to get luggage and recheck from united to elal. not familiar with EWR airport.. I have united silver/premier access..

If you need to pick up your bags it will take time
United will arrive into terminal A or C
Elal departs out of B
Either way you will need to collect bags and change terminals (from C via airtrain from A via bus)

Your business with elal helps that you don't have to wait on a long line to check-in. Silver United can help that maybe United agent will check it through for you.
Personally I would want about 4 hour layover, your first flight can be delayed, the luggage can take time to come out etc. Better to spend time in the lounge than worry if you will make it.
