Friend travelled on a connecting flight 2 different airlines when he arrived at his destination he opened his suitcase and his shtreimel has been taken out of the box at some point and just dumped back in the suitcase. Shtreimel is all messed up. Who can he claim from ?

I don't know.  But he could claim from the cc he bought the tickets with if it has travel insurance.

Maybe this should be filed under "No0b questions," but I'll try here any way. 

I want to book a RT BOS-TLV-BOS, leaving August 2016 and returning June 2017. The return is too far out now to purchase. Can I purchase an "open" return ticket? What does such a ticket cost? Do I need to go through a live travel agent? Must both legs be booked on the same carrier?
