I need to extend the expiration of my Flying Blue miles. I was wondering if flying from USA to Canada on a Delta flight operated by WestJet would allow me to earn Flying Blue miles. I chose the Delta flight number when purchasing from Priceline and my credit card was charged by Delta. Furthermore, the confirmation number can be looked up on Delta.com. Delta is a member of SkyTeam, but WestJet is not.
I did not see any responses for a week after I posted. Can someone answer here or direct me to an appropriate thread?
Two phone calls to Delta got me two contradictory answers, so it would be helpful if you mention whether your answer is based on experience.

Wont help. Westjet and flying blue aren't mileage partners

Is there any OTA that allows you to search for multi-destination with some legs in Y and some in J? ITA is a pain...

When booking for a child that is becoming 2 in middle the trip, can I book as infant?
If I have etickets already (as infant), am I safe?

Depends on the airline
You had some experience with any airline?

If I booked a roundtrip but only intend on taking the first leg, do I still need to check in and 'miss' my flight or should I not check in at all? (Lufthansa)

Would MQMs earned through a credit card count towards status challenge qualifications?

Due to a delay with a United flight, we'll miss our connection in lhr to bkk with TG. Consequently we'll probably miss our next connection in bkk. How do I find a list of TG flights from lhr to bkk?
