I booked a flight a few months out, I by chance went into  my itinerary and I see that the aircraft was changed to a much smaller aircraft with much smaller business class seats. Q 1 is it a reason to request a refund. Q2 is there any way to get alerted when something like that happens. Q3 is that normal, does it happen often?

2 - ExpertFlyer.com
3 - depend on the route, but happens.

I am looking at UA 84 on before Purim in J. It is running about $5000. I think it needs it to go to P class to be more reasonable? Is that likely to happen? The plane is mostly empty now.
thanks
Place an alert with ExpertFlyer.com

Yes, understood, thank you, that is to be alerted to the availability.

What i am trying to ask is that maybe someone is familiar with historical pricing on that route and can say if its likely they will lower the fare to fill the plane, or I should start looking for something else. With plat biz card it is attainable, but not at 250k.

1) whether or not to request a refund is your choice. I know that in the T&C of AC and AA, aircraft swaps make you eligible for a refund
2) EF
3) depends on route but in short it is normal.

Hmm, I'm not sure then.
Ask a TA who is familiar with that route

Can AA mobile boarding pass be used when a family travels on the same PRN? One device - multiple mobile boarding passes?

Each boarding pass must be on a separate device IIRC.

Two questions:
1. Why doesn't AC have wifi on its 787 Dreamliners?  I get wifi BOS-YYZ on an Emb190, but no wifi on the 787-9?
2. Should we have a masterthread for Air Canada? I couldn't find one.

As you pointed out, WiFi has nothing to do with the size of the plane. Most airlines have one system they use while over land. Many airlines have a second system they use for oceanic trips and are much more complex.

1) my Q was if it makes me eligible for refund. They did indeed refund me in full.

IINM the DOT requires airlines to allow you to cancel your booking within 24 hours of booking if booked more then 7 days before travel. T&Cs apply.

What card did you book on? You can always call them, you never know
Memories last forever, make them while you can.

I know that legally they only have to cancel if you book more than 7 days prior. I think in practice many airlines still let you cancel even if it's within 7 days (or even 24hrs). Can anyone confirm which airlines allow this?
