Slight dilema, looking for some advice.
I need a particular flight for 2 people on SW. It's 3600 points per person, and the person I'm flying with is not currently my companion. When searching for 1 person the flight is 3600 but when searching for 2, it's 7000+ per person.
Do I:

A. Book each passenger separately in different browsers at 3600, but forfeit pre check for the second person (forfeited in option B as well).

B. Change my companion to said person. I have never changed it before, is it a pain? is it worth 3600 points for the hassle? I will most likely never fly SW with this guy again, so would need to change it back after.

Just to confirm, if I book a standard "wanna get away" fare, and cancel, full points will be redeposited to my account, right?

TIA
Memories last forever, make them while you can.

Book them separately and then call SW to combine the PNRs.

If there's 1 ticket available for this price, does it work to book 2 in separate browsers?

Perhaps there is a better place to ask this but trying to figure out what people flying with a 3 year old (to israel) do. Do you guys take a car seat or just have them sit in a seat and any tips on how to position them best for sleeping (something to buy that helps perhaps)?

TIA

Is it possible (And if so what is the easiest way) to upgrade a AA millage flight to first class?

It depends on the booking class most likely.

Anyone know if I can transit JED, or anywhere else in Saudi Arabia, if I'm flying on two separate itineraries? In on QR, and out on LH?

I'm asking because I will not be able to enter Saudi Arabia because I'm a US citizen without a visa, and also, possibly a second problem is that I will have checked luggage.

Did you end up going there?

Yes. I've done it before.
And it gets ticketed without any issues?

1. Traveling on AC, TLV-YYZ-BOS in February.
2. Problem is that our YYZ-BOS connection follows an overnight layover.
3. I booked the tickets during AC glitch in August and grabbed it, even though I knew it entailed overnight layover...I couldn't get the system to give me the same-day connection, and I knew the glitch was about to end.
4. Now, I have petitioned AC to change the connecting flight to same day -- even cited an "itinerary change", but they pointed out that it was only 5 minutes and affecting only our outbound, not these flights -- but they refused.
5. I am considering purchasing one-way YYZ-BOS tickets for $126, which I can do on UA (code share with AC) via Amex and get half back with biz plat, so it's not too expensive.
6. My questions are how to deal with the luggage:
a. Would AC in TLV agree to tag my luggage to the earlier UA/AC flight, or will they insist on checking it all the way through to BOS on the connecting flight that is married (the correct term?) to the long-haul TLV-YYZ flight?
b. If they don't agree to tagging it on the earlier flight, will I have an opportunity to retrieve it myself in YYZ and re-check it to the same-day connecting flight?
7. Thank you.
