Not sure if there is a thread dedicated to this, but was wondering if I would use Qantas points for LY premium economy and then business opens up (what are the chances?) can I use the extra miles for to "upgrade" it? Thanks

United did fly a 777 from IAH to EWR 2x Daily now i can't find it anymore (although i do find it EWR-IAH United 598 flies that route daily) is there anyway to track where that flight went? or if its just a mislabeling in their website for plane type....

Have an economy class ticket on Qantas booked with AA miles SFO to MEL for this Sunday. Award for Qantas Business class opened up and I opted to pay 55k AS miles (and pay $150 to redeposit the 40k AA miles) over 80k AA miles. Q1. Was that a good choice? Q2. More important: How can I avoid the $150 mile to redeposit the AA miles? (No AA Status)

AA will tell you yes and BA will tell you no.
I had such a flight but it was on AA stock and operated by BA.
I made sure there were sufficient notes on the PNR and ticket by an AA agent which recorded that the AA agent told me that if BA charges me, AA will refund me.
That's exactly what happened. After the flight the second or third rep I spoke to told me exactly where to find the online form. (Not the regular refund form.)
After filling it out they responded about 2 weeks later asking for receipts and they sent me a check.

You're welcome!
Yes. From a targeted offer.
It was difficult to find out the info when I looked for it so I'm glad to be able to share my experience with others.

Thanks! I was actually targeted as Platinum, and now I'm not targeted, but I can sign up for 3 months via Hyatt Explorist, but I saw reports saying that BA recognized the status until the end of the year even though it expired. So I'm wondering what would happen if I do sign up for the Gold, if they won't see the Platinum or only the Gold. Not that it really matters...

Do airlines like united and American track how many complaints you make to try to get compensation? Will it back fire if I have a new complaint every flight?

I know this has been asked before, but now it's applicable, so I'll pay attention to the answer.  ;)

If a baby is turning 2 during his round trip (after first leg, before return home on 2nd leg) is he able to be a lap baby in both directions?   TLV-NYC-TLV

Revenue - AirFrance
I'm looking at various award tickets:  UA, Delta, AA.
But the revenue is the best price for my dates.

(Wedding in NY 8/18.  Baby's birthday 8/10.  So looking to come 8/08 (Thurs) and return 8/25 (after sheva brachos)
Flexible, if anyone has a better idea.)

You should mention the airline and if it's award or rev.
iirc ba gives the way back for the same rate on award ticket.

Aside from with BA, no.

Modified my post with that info.

But davidrotts63 says no.  I'll only get him free 1 way.
How do I book a paying seat 1 way when the rest of the family is getting round trips?

Unfortunately a one way will cost you more, unless you book with a low cost and stopover.
For a direct flight, a reg seat will be cheaper.

So I shouldn't bother traveling before the kid's birthday, because it won't actually save me money.
