Is there any chance of AA opening Saver availability from JFK-SFO close in? (Aug 29th is the flight date) If i book in economy can i upgrade it to business with just the mileage difference or is there a fee. (I already paid the close in fee once do i have to pay again?)

When a delay happens due to an inbound aircraft arriving late due to weather, and then the inbound plane arrives, but then there’s an hour delay to get a crew, is it no longer a weather delay?
Not really a weather delay but airlines will claim it is.

They decided to use aircraft #xxx for xx flight....
Always praying for delayed baggage.

You can upgrade for just the miles difference. In fact, as long as the origin and destination don't change, you can change the routing. Often I'll book a stopover AA award earlier and then switch it to a non-stop as it opens.

Is this possible even with Economy Web?

A relative of mine is flying AF YYZ-CDG-TLV with a 15-hr stopover in CDH and AF says on their website and by phone that they can't return a stroller for the stopover (even gate checked).

Any idea of how they can get their stroller back for their stopover? Thanks.

Tell them at the airport, That you really really need it, and they might check it to paris only, where you would pick it up at the baggage claim. It worked for me once, though it was 15 hours overnight. (there is a lot of walking till the baggage claim, be awre

option two: get travel stroller like yo-yo or GB pockit (much cheaper than yo-yo, but more basic)

What do you do with a toddler car seat? Do you check it? Will it survive the ordeal?
If it's not free shipping it's not worth it.

Tried the GB Pockit (original), but it was too lightweight, annoying to maneuver (2 handles instead of handlebar), and seat barely reclined (naps).

Switched to the City Tour, much happier overall.

So I am not new to DDF or Dan's Deals, but I am totally new to Airline miles travel. I manged to hit a bunch of Chase UR signup bonuses, and now I want to book travel to Israel for my family for Yeshiva break.

Beyond grabbing a deal that might pop up, I have some other N00b questions that I couldn't find clear answers on on the site, and I figured maybe someone here can help:

- How do I know what is a good value to Israel in Miles? (i.e. miles per ticket)
- Anyway for me to convert Chase UR to Qantas miles and book that way?
- What airlines are safe for Yarmulka wearers to travel on? (I imagine AA/United/Delta/Lufthansa are okay, but what about Turkish or any FSU airlines?)

Any other tips or advice would be appreciated.

I use the pockitt happily (you can hold it in the middle between handles)
Kids love it

3 More Klutz Kashas:

- Is there an article wiki about Points xfers? I.e. Chase to Delta or Chase to Avios? (Ratios + Other xfer info)
- Let's say I'm very happy with the tix I have for one leg of my flight, but not the other - is it smart to book the first leg while still searching for the second leg?
- What happens if I cancel a flight that I booked with Miles - do I get my miles back - a premium? Can I rebook + a change fee?

Best thing for the toddler and the car seat is for toddler to sit in the car seat on the airplane.  It's my understanding that if checked, a car seat is no longer considered "new."
