I booked a Swiss award flight on through United.
How do I order a kosher meal?

I have my Swiss Air booking code, but don't see an option to order special meals.
Call Swiss.

Try to do it on LH. I did it in the past.

Try to do it on LH. I did it in the past.
I logged into Lufthansa with my Swiss reservation code.
They required me to input my passport info, and the next page allowed me to request a special meal.
(My reservation has a few people. After inputting passport info for 1, I clicked the 'continue' on the bottom after the passenger list and was able to request meals for out whole group.)

Thank you.

(FYI: I got my Swiss reservation code when I logged into United using the reservation code they gave me when I booked the flight with them.
On the Swiss Air website I booked my seats.
On Lufthansa I ordered my kosher meal.)

Glad it still works. You can also select seats on there, but Swiss works fine for seats as well. If your in J and need throne seats, you can call, sometimes you can be lucky and get it. Online it wants to charge for throne seats.

If in business class, you can also call to request a kosher fish meal (as opposed to beef/chicken).

Does UA charge for luggage for flights to Central America? I charged my reserve card for the taxes and fees but if I need to pay for luggage I will have to use my explorer card.

In MIA my sister sent her passport in the check-in bag by mistake. She has no other ID. They are saying they are looking for the bag but I have low hopes.

Any ideas?

You can board a flight without a passport, TSA will ask a bunch of questions and you should be set.

I assume I'm too late, did it work out?

Yup, I just had this issue a couple months ago.
The supervisor just asked a bunch of ¿arbitrary? questions and then let me through with an extra pat down and baggage check.

Took about 10min total, but I was in the PreCheck line...

I actually find it disturbing that it's possible to pass through security without an ID

Well you can vote without one, and some airlines are voicing their opposition on voter ID laws

I just booked
ORD - JFK on DL using DL miles. Basic Economy - Arrives in JFK at 9:55 AM
JFK - LHR on VS using VS miles. Classic Economy - Departs JFK same day at 7PM.

Is there a way to marry these 2 segments so that:
1) I can get free checked luggage on the ORD - JFK segment,
2) I can check luggage straight from ORD to LHR
3) If the answer to no. 2 is negative, will I be able to check my luggage to LHR upon arrival in JFK in the morning?
4) Would rebooking segment 1 as a regular economy ticket make any difference to any of the above?

1) No
2) You can check the bag straight to LHR without marrying the segments. Just ask them at check in at ORD.
3) n/a
4) No
