1- are those still expiring or was that extended bec of covid?
2- if I just transfer some MR points will that extend the quantas points for 18 months?

The airline you booked with is always who you need to talk to. VS can’t (at least that’s why they say) do anything if it wasn’t booked thru them.

They’re offering free cancellations on awards, so you can book a random ticket (MEL-SYD) and then cancel it to extend your mileage expiration.
You can cancel till 2/28/22, so I’d do it as late as possible to extend your expiration.

When using Matrix make sure to look at the Advanced Fare Purchase date( Usually prices up closer to with Domestic tickets 7,14, 21 days; generally weekdays price cheaper then weekends....
Compare one ways rather roundtrips.
Southwest does not show on Matrix.

Wait for possible schedule change and then get refund.

If that doesn’t happen, you can change the flight to a cheap $50 published fare (keeping that amount of credit in original passengers name) and get a residual voucher / credit that can be used for anybody.

Biz seats are too expensive for that. 


How about a Virgin Atlantic flight? Their fees are much higher than the other airlines.
Any other site can get me a seat?
