new question
TLV-IAD
A friend found Virgin Atlantic flights that have a 12-15 hour over night stopover in LHR in each direction.  She thinks the kids will travel better this way.  It shows up on Google flights. for $3705
On VA site these flights don't come up.  Priceline has it outgoing but not inbound.
Calling on sunday priced at $3743 for 6 tickets, but Monday they quoted $4500.

Is there a way to get this at the cheaper price?  Is there a way to book it on line?

I bought a ticket NYC-TLV on United.  the flight is still 3 months out and the ticket price dropped $82. Can I get a refund for the difference?  It's economy T, can I cancel the ticket, get a full flight credit and rebook?
DM UA for an ETC for the difference.
Thanks.
So they've agreed the price went down. But "since the ticket you've purchased is non-refundable, the difference can be issued in a form of an Electronic Travel Certificate after paying the $50 service fee per passenger."
$82-$50 is still a $32 savings per person, but is there anything I can say or do to not pay the "service fee"?

That "United is not charging change fees any more due to Covid, so can you please waive it?"

Just change to another flight and then back to this one?
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

YOU DA MAN!!
IT WORKED!

My stomach hurt the whole time I was making the changes.
nervous: What if the seats sell out before I rebook on the correct flight? So before I started, I checked if they had 8 seats at this price even though I only need 2. They did.
I also only changed 1 way.  When I chose the fake flight, it said $0 additional, but when I checked out, they told me they'd give me $82 each ticket as a Future Flight Credit. YAY!
As soon as it went through, I changed it back to the original one with no additional charge!
I'm on an adrenaline high.
Thanks!

(Future Flight Credit can only be used by the named passenger, correct? )

United, new international ticket.
less than 24 hours ago

I used the wrong first name for the lap infant.
I'm chatting . They want me to cancel and rebook, but the price is already higher and  it's 3 tickets besides the baby.
So I suggested we only cancel the baby and then add h er back.
I paid $25 for her in the initial reservation.
Now they want 10% of the price, which is almost $100.

Any suggestions?

ADD ON:
I had a really good rep.  She kept checking on each possibility that I raised.
I asked if I could use the ECT that I just scored on the lower price of my son's ticket (info above).  She went to check.  Came back periodically to tell me she was still waiting on that department.
So I asked why can't we just change the name??
She came back a bit later saying they're going to try to change it.  She came back and asked for the DOB of one of the parents.  Then she did!!
Over an hour of chat, but I got the change done!

Based on this site I would say yes: https://www.oneworld.com/travel-benefits

Thanks as this correct. After booking it showed 1st and 2nd bags free for the three of us.
Only on DDF does 24/6 mean 24/5/half/half

They just wouldn't listen. I explain they would get preferred seats and free bags. They wanted to use their miles and not owe miles.

AA sent an email stating that filling out contact info is required before boarding a flight to the US. Is this really required or can I ignore it?

anyone know the turn around time frame for canceling an ELAL flight into voucher/credit? Dan mentioned how he booked via business to get the 35% back on his business platinum, but it doesn't seem like the voucher/credit is instant.. wondering how long it takes for the voucher/credit to come?
THANKS!
