I have a flight: Lih-HNL-EWR. If on time, I would land at HNL approx 3:10 with connection scheduled for 4:20. First leg is a Hawaiian Airlines flight (all booked via United). Is that cutting it too close? According to my research it’s about a 20 minute walk in HNL. Tia

Also would they hold the 2nd leg if there’s a delay on a partner airline?

Is it on one record locator?

When cancelling a Delta award flight, do they refund the taxes to original form of payment?

Is a 2-hour self-connect with baggage doable in AUH at 1am?

EDIT: looks like the airlines in question interline so it should be good then.

Update: All went well, even had time to take a shower in the AUH.

ZNZ-MCT-AUH on Oman Air to Etihad
AUH-FRA-JFK on Etihad to Singapore

Manually tagged ZNZ-MCT-AUH-FRA-JFK no problem.

Arrived in JFK to find a new sticker saying "Oman Air FRA-JFK COPY". No idea what that was about, but it sure worked.

Cross posting question here;

Flying to Canada doesn't require a passport for kids under 16, however returning to the US by air requires a passport for all passengers. Anyone know what the risks are if I show up to the return flight without passports for kids, just with their birth certificates, will they do an ID lookup and let us through or can they actually deny us boarding?

Cross posting question here;

Flying requires a passport. Enforced by the airline. Period.

Hi!

I booked United tix using LifeMiles and paid the fees with my United card, but it seems that using the card won't give you the benefits (free luggage) unless you book with United directly or through Chase Ultimate Rewards. Is there a hack to make that happen?

I tried upgrading my seat for $10 on the United site with my card to see if that would work, but it didn't.

Any suggestions would be welcome, thanks!

Did you update your FFN?

That's an *excellent* point!

I did pull the reservation up on the United site, it's allowing me to add my KTN and contact info, but not change my FFN. Is there a way you know of to do that online or should I just call?

Thanks!
