We aren’t talking about overselling, we’re talking about a benefit of bumping for elites. Secondly, they’re selling a seat that costs easily 2,3 or 4 times maybe more than what the lowest pax paid, besides the fact that award would prob be bumped first. This answers overselling in general, the overselling is always the most expensive seats. Elites can get even after the normal amount of oversell as a benefit, yet still doesn’t cost them too much if at all due to the fare being sold.

My flight with United was canceled and rebooked for the following day, needing to get home earlier I was forced to leave earlier and take a connecting flight which was a big inconvenience.

Can I expect some compensation for that? Is there a specific email address to send in the request?

Why is Dan's or anyone's preference for flying to Israel on the night flight?

I get the way back, the night flight gives you a day in Israel, then you get here in morning after a night's sleep.

But why the way there? The 3.50 pm UA flight gets you there in the morning, ready for a whole day.

Hard to fall asleep in the afternoon, and you arrive 2am eastern time...

I see, on the other hand for the night flight you need to daven shachris right in the middle of the flight.

I've long had the same thought. It would be easy to do. But I assume illegal.

you cant have a minor in different cabin

however if you can successfully book it and they give you problems at gate I'm sure you can find s/o who would trade seats.
