I'm curious to know how the the flight was paid for. Call back united and ask, what form of payment was used to make this booking.  Or for all you know it was just put on hold and never paid for.
Or you just had a nice employee wanting to sponsor your flight.
Who knows, Maybe the caller ahead of you told them to sponsor the next person's flight, Whoever calls. (A Mr beast move.)

On the email with the flight confirmation from united it did say something about the form of payment, I will copy it here....
"Payment Info, Remaining value of your previous ticket numbers 0168093098487, 0168093098485 was applied to this purchase".
So it def seems like it was paid for, maybe after keeping me on the phone for an hour and then getting disconnected the agent felt bad... at this point it is clear that it is not a reservation on hold, my reservation is active.

Capitol One had a history of making mistakes on bookings resulting in free tickets, not in this specific way. But the agents definitely had the ability to waive the price of the ticket if they felt it was justified.

Time sensitive question:
I booked the Air France-Delta deal back in January and then Delta changed the flight time by 6+ hours entitling me to make a change. I keep trying to rebook it for February but one rep told me they can only rebook one month in advance and another told me there’s no availability in February (and probably any other month). Both refused to transfer to a supervisor. Because of this, original flight is still booked for tomorrow! What do I do? A friend had the same situation but called and easily changed flight.  Please help! If I cancel then I will have lost the deal and if I miss flight then I’m afraid it will be lost…
If you are trying to get my attention/assistance and I'm not responding, please feel free to PM me. :)

Not sure what means the flight's not available. Check yourself and see if it's available. Call again or chat,  message via twitter.

I’m checking and not seeing any available on any dates. Seems like Delta took off all… does Delta not need to let me change if they made a significant change

Seems you would be entitled to an ecredit and book whatever you would like.

Thanks! Would that apply to flights booked via Air France Flying Blue points? What would be the amount of the eCredit?

Value of the original ticket.
Call and message whoever. Don't wait for the last minute.  During the day you tend to find more American reps vs at night where they have lots of outsourced agents who at times are clueless.

Why would Delta terms and conditions apply to  ticket booked by flying blue?

What would be considered value - cash value? Was booked with points on that deal from DDMS in January. I can get them to refund the points but that doesn't help because I lose the deal..
What do you say about @SHL's post?

There are US DOT rules that apply but I guess for that they would just be able to refund my points which makes me lose the deal I got...

technically the cash value. If you opt to get a voucher.
They very well know the cash value of a ticket even when you use points.  They somehow manage to always charge the exact amount at 10% of a international ticket when an infant is accompanying an adult. Even on award tickets.

I have various flights for Pesach on tracking; I saw a drop with British Airways to $3742 (2 adults, 4 kids, infant on lap - a very good price IF they are actually flying next year). Was exploring options on BA website and I see this offer to add a van rental ... for $60? Is that normal? Is it even true or clickbait marketing?

It's probably for only one day. Even though usually they will show you for the length of the trip you are there. TARB.

A friend of mine was on SW2847 from DEN to LGA yesterday. The flight had to make an emergency landing because of a sick passeneger. My friend (a boy scout troop leader) and a few of his scouts, assisted the doctors in performing CPR on this person, and he left the plane with a pulse.

My friend was wondering if there was a way to hear the ATC conversations from the flight - is there an easy way to find them? (The plane made an emergency landing in PIT).

From the Chase site re the United Explorer:

Service charges for oversized, overweight and extra baggage may apply. Cardmembers who are already exempt from other checked baggage service charges will not receive an additional free standard checked bag. Chase is not responsible for the provision of, or failure to provide, the stated benefits. Please allow 2 weeks after account opening for your first free standard checked bag to be available on eligible United reservations. Please visit united.com/ChaseBag for details.

And from the United website:

Free checked bags for United Cardmembers
