It's a great deal even without service, even though it's not a new phone it's still a great phone, and definitely better than any phone you can get now for under $200.

And I'm paying now 35 a month for the same 500mb a month with Verizon prepaid, hence my question of how the service is in brooklyn. Anyone care to answer?
