I lost teffilin

I lost my teffilin flying on AA. I left it on the airplane. I called and went to lost and found in miam airprt but no one saw anything. Does someone have any ideas,or numbers to a top executive or manager. Please help.thanks

I might sound a little mean, but you lost them. That should not happen. If lost and found cant find them, you think a executive can help you? The chances are very big, that the cleaning crew did not know what it was and threw it out.

If you were flying with the AMEX Travel Insurance, they might reimburse you for a new pair.  I once lost an expensive pair of headphones on a trip and AMEX reimbursed me no problem.

It's both, I think. Though if any yid got to rummage through the L&F (I doubt they let that) then they'd make sure the tefillin are taken care of.

You might try and find out where that plane went after your flight, because its entirely possible and plausible, although not likely, that the cleaning crew didn't catch it, and the next passenger did, and it wound up in the next flight's arrival airport's Lost and Found.

To yosef I tried that. The plane went to santiago and  no one saw it there yet.

Try explaining to Amex how expensive these leather custom 'headphones' are!

It can take time for the item to actually get to the lost and found. Keep calling. If you can I would recommend driving back to the airport.

I once lost a handbag and we actually had to drive in. They weren't very helpful until my brother mentioned there were some important medications in my bag. They ended up calling every place in the airport and found it was left behind in customs.

Some Tzedaka into the Meir Baal Haness Pushka couldn't hurt as well.
