 Data point: I had a cert that expired almost 2 months ago. I emailed them a request to extend the cert and they issued me a new one valid for a another whole year.

what is going to happen to these ritz carlton certificates after the award structure changes? would you still be able to book top tier hotels with these certificates?

 Looking to go to an hotel that only has partial of my stay available with points.
 Any way around it maybe I could book for a different day and then ask them to change ?

Annual certs are already capped at 50k, and hence not top tier, unless maybe during off-peak.

I'm surprised that the price for the 60K certs hasn't come down, given that in less than a week the value proposition will drop significantly.
i'm assuming we'll see an adjustment on Mar 5th.

true, but the 50K wont get impacted as much as the 60K ones, as you cant book aspirational properties with those right now.
