As a Delta cardholder, if I book a Delta flight through the chase portal using sapphire points, do I still get a free checked bag?

I’m pretty sure it’s tied to your FF number. So yes. I have booked with miles and paid with a non Delta Amex card and got free luggage.

Flying with DW and 2 kids, if I book basic economy, what are the chances of us getting seated together? I'm ok with its 2 and 2 but is there a chance we will all get middle seats?

I'm scared about Alitalia, if i booked through Delta (for a few bucks more) an alitalia flight to rome am i actually more protected? if i book premium economy and alitalia goes down, would delta give me the option of business or push me down to comfort+
Just following up on this, it worked out as I hoped bh. Delta switched us to business and we are happy even though we lose some time in rome due to the new flight schedule.

If I book a Delta flight through Chase ultimate rewards portal and on line it says no luggage is included. If I have the Delta Gold credit card do I automatically get free luggage? Thanks

app screenshot. Seems to imply that basic departing after 2021 cannot be cancelled even if booked now

With Delta Basic (seat assigned after check-in) is it better to make booking for two on one reservation to have any chance of sitting together? Or better single reservations?

Any chance? Because how they write Not Together:  Seat(s) Assigned After Check-in, Not Together

I wouldn't worry.
Check in and ask the gate agent to put you together.
