If I cancel after the 24 hours wouldn’t I incur a fee? Do I need to buy a refundable ticket? Thanks!!
excluding basic economy and ULCC, cancellation fees are thing of the past. You can cancel for a credit which is exactly what you want

I have a non-transferable voucher for a ticket I canceled if I book a ticket to the TLV and it is canceled. (Due to the war) Will I be able to get a refund to my credit card or will it go back to a non-transferable voucher?

Hi all.
I'm based in Israel and trying to extend my medallion status for next year (2025) due to the global situation. Has anyone had success in doing that? If so, how exactly? I gave it a one email shot so far, and sent another email today, with negative results.
Thanks!

Single ticket = automatically
Separate tickets = ask at check-in, YMMV
I think you have a good change since they're partners now

Im thinking of booking a delta flight to Israel for May once they start flying again. Any experience what happens if they cancel all flights to Israel again? Will they for sure rebook me on elal?

Nothing is for sure because of there are no seats they can't rebook.

They are supposed to return at the start of April. If precedent holds, they will decide on further cancellations by early March and if they cancel it will probably be until June. If they keep to that schedule, very good chance you can get rebooked (>95%). If they start flying as scheduled in April, El Al probably won’t be 100% booked and rebooking may be possible (though if something happens the day before your flight, you’re probably SOL). If they move to United style rolling cancellation come April, that’s really bad news for you. It’s all a matter of risk tolerance, price difference, and peace of mind.

Wise words indeed.
I boooked Emirates with Aegean connecting TLV-ATH for Pesach (as noted a few times) because: 1) I couldn't afford El Al prices, and 2) I have no problem staying where I am for Pesach if necessary. I will hedge my bet by buying matzah (which I will bring with me if I fly) and chicken/meat (which will be fine for after Pesach too) in advance. If Aegean cancels during Pesach, it won't be fun to get back from ATH (money-wise), but it should be doable.

I don't think the 32 hour estimate includes time spent being thrown into jail by authorities.

I'm looking into booking LY J through Delta.
Seeing lots of 70k sweet spot to Thailand

What's the cost of cancelling the award? I seem to understand it's $150 per ticket??? (I believe only flights to / from the US don't have fees)

Thanks

Chat with delta to ask (and save the chat in case you'll need it), I think I once chatted with them for award tickets ex-TLV and they told me there's no fees

@ShimonFly thanks. I'm not a big fan relying on info provided through chat. Hard to enforce in the future
