Delta Master Thread
« on: May 05, 2015, 11:11:16 PM »
I am curious to know what people think of the Economy comfort on Delta, is it worth the money.

Also should I pay the pay another $50  and fly delta economy comfort to israel over Elal EC?

I have a paid international delta ticket, which I would like to redeem to an e voucher.
any change cost $200. (all segments are on delta)

How likely that there would be a schedule change, which would waive the $200 fee?

How soon before depart should I follow before cancel into a voucher?
Flight between HI and SEATTLE Round trip.

Thank you

Anyone know the rules for same day changes on award tickets? Rep said the new ticket needs to be rebooked using the same number of points. Original ticket was 12.5k points and only think available now is 25k. HUCA?

Do platinum/diamonds get auto econ+ upgrades on mileage redemptions?

And can they use that status for anyone booking from their account?

If this is still relevant, I have been successful with similar stories by calling the elite line (I'm a Platinum member). one time I called at like 2am and the indian (?) person on the regular phone was very helpful, sometimes ask for a supervisor. Always have a good reason for why you need the change, the more emotional the better. In general I think that the have one of the best customer service.

I currently have 52k SkyMiles, which I'm hoping to use for transcon travel. So far, nothing has opened up in BusinessElite for 32.5k. Should I just bite the bullet and use the miles on coach ( :-[) or should I hold out for availability.

The dates of travel are Wednesday 10/7 ex-JFK and Sunday 10/11 ex-LAX.

Thanks for any advice.

So I got a letter from Delta today saying that they will give me Delta Medallion Gold for free so I go on the link that they give me and read the T&C's and it is free for 2 months then if you fly 4 segments they will give it to you for the rest of the year. Anyone ever get this before?

My wife got it in her account,  which is odd.  I travel much more than her,  and spend much more in my delta cc.

I will wait  until just before expiration to redeem  thereby giving me 2 months from then to fly the 4 segments.

I wonder if it can  be applied to my account,  or if it must be redeemed by my wife.

I'll update when I try to redeem for myself.

How can Delta do this to me?  >:( >:( >:(

The fare quoted earlier of $109.10 (USD) has changed. The new fare for this itinerary is $331.10 (USD). To continue your purchase click Continue. Otherwise click Start Over to return to the Reservation input screen and select different dates and times. After accepting the fare change, you may need to re-select your seats. #3005R

Twice in a row. The first time i saw the price on Kayak. So I excuse them. But then Delta themselves show this price . Grrrrrr

Should i go for three  ;D ;D

That's surprising. Usually a seat or two opens up on the Yom Kippur flight, and if you're really lucky, on the Rosh Hashana flights as well.

Is there such a thing as a bag voucher for Delta? Would the normal voucher or gift card cover the costs of bags?

I know Delta is stingy on nonstop award flights especially this route but this stingy?
