This is new. Last year there was tons of availability JFK-TLV and reverse in Jan-Feb.

This year theres been none.

you think this is temporary or a sign of new low for Delta?

The latter unfortunately. But I'd love to be proven wrong.

Booked J on AF from TLV using DL miles long ago. I selected 1D as the bulkhead TLV-CDG, now I see they moved me back to another seat since there is no row 1 - it starts at 2.

Assuming they wont move me to the bulkhead, any angle you can think of that I can use this to get them to put me on the direct TLV-JFK? those seats are not J anyway and the bulkhead makes a big difference for me.

How long does Delta take to refund a refundable ticket from the time that you put in the cancellation request?

That's ridiculous. No way to expedite?

Whats Delta's award ticket cancellation policy? Can I cancel within 24 hours and not be charged fee?

It seems from FT that yes, for sure if originating in the US, as long as not 72 hours before departure

I guess it's luck of the draw. I put in the request on Thursday and the automated system says it still hasn't been processed. When you had it post within 2 days, was it a cheaper ticket or expensive? Maybe that makes a difference?

I mean, technically Delta said that I need to give them 7 days to process it so I feel like disputing it before the 7 days are up won't help me. But still, 7 days is ridiculous. How many buttons do they have to push already to process the refund?

It could help because Amex would temporarily remove it from your balance until the refund is processed.

It's 7 days of interest, and once they press the button there is no going back, so they're gonna want to make sure they should be pressing that button.

Statement hasn't cut yet, so I'll give it some more time. Not in a rush YET, but just frustrating. Call me impatient, I guess.

I believe I've done that before, though not necessarily with Delta. I don't think checking in has an effect on the 24 hour rule
