I don't follow football that closely but I thought this was known at least 5-6 years ago?
What season were they undefeated and then lost the Superbowl (to the Giants was it)?
Didn't everyone then say, "That's what those cheaters deserve!" That's what I remember.

How is it any different from Aaron Rodgers overinflating his balls (pun intended as well), as he publicly admitted?

There should be repercussions for Brady, but as was mentioned, it's not an excuse for anyone he beat, and it certainly doesn't hurt his legacy.

As a Giants fan I am extremely happy that Brady lost twice to the Giants in the SB including the first one where the Pats were undefeated except for the "Giant" loss.

As a football fan, despite confirmation of Brady/Belichick's cheating (again), it still doesn't take much away from what they've accomplished. This being after Brady was picked 199th in the 6th round of the 2000 draft and was marked by most scouts as unable to play the QB position.
