I thought a thread like this might be useful for any Aussies lookin' for Moolah.
Especially that there have been consistently decent offers in the last year.

And also for guidance dealing with Australia's completely different credit rating system.

Regarding ANZ cards, the T&C's state:
Not available ... where you currently hold or have closed an ANZ Frequent Flyer, ANZ Frequent Flyer Gold, ANZ Frequent Flyer Platinum or ANZ Frequent Flyer Black credit card within the previous twelve months. This offer applies only once per customer.

Conventional wisdom is that you can get 1 of each flavour, and this has worked for me.
Question is if anyone has tested the waters and knows whether these cards are churnable?

First you have to give a lecture how the whole process is, is there such a thing as recon? Can you get more than one card at once? Is there such a thing as a credit pull? When is the credit card first reported to a CB? Plus plus plus

Happy to answer questions as asked.
Not interested in preaching to an empty auditorium.

But if you're not an Australian citizen or resident with some Australian income on the books, don't even bother.
Not a chance you'll get a card.
Much stricter than in the USA.

Gee, man, that is a tough question.
I reckon it is so that the words on the back of the cards can be written with an Australian accent.

Aren't the cards written in Australian instead of English?

No, they are written in Swahili - That is the spoken language in Australia.
Much like Spanish in Florida.
