Amex credit line increase

I receive the email below from Amex. Anyone know if this would be a hard pull on my credit score?

I don't believe the reps know what they are talking about when it comes to credit scores.

Maybe it's me but I never request nor accept credit line increases. I'd quicker use another card before I "manually" increase.
