Not sure exactly related, but I'm quite frustrated with searching for Delta awards. For example, if I search for jfk-tlv I can find for 70k on partners (almost never on Delta metal). But if I add in any flight within US, i.e. xx-jfk-tlv, suddenly the mileage price skyrockets. Separately, I see the individual Delta us flight for 12.5k, so it's not the particular flight that's the issue. Delta simply refuses to allow low level redemptions once you are also on their metal, at least when partnering with international partner flights.
Am I missing something? When I try multi city just to enter the exact routing, it errors out.
