Definitely not the same offer. The $200 offer that just expired included Hassle-Free Checking. With the new offer, you only get $100 for Hassle-Free Checking. Also, with the old offer, you had to direct deposit $1000 for any checking account. With the new offer, you have to direct deposit $500 for Hassle-Free Checking or $1000 for Key Advantage®, Key Privilege®, or Key Privilege Select Checking® Account. With the new offer, you need to make a combination of five debit card or bill payment transactions; the old offer did not have this requirement.

In summary, if you were looking for some free money along with the easiest account to keep open without a monthly fee, the old offer of $200 for the KeyBank Hassle-Free Account® beats the new offer of $100 for that account. If you can handle the (pretty tough) requirements of the Key Advantage®, Key Privilege®, or Key Privilege Select Checking® Account, the new $300 offer is better than the old $200 offer.

With their rewards program, you get 1 point for every $6 spent with your debit card. 12500 points can be redeemed for $25 cash back. This rate is quite miniscule; if you spend $75,000, you get $25. What can you suggest as a way to MS and spent huge amounts on the cheap? Bluebird/Serve/Redcard limits should not be squandered on this. What about Square Cash? Walmart bill pay? What else?

Add an external account to your reg bank account, then after it verifies the account make a transfer.

You will still have to pay the fee for the fourth, fifth and sixth month, or pay the fee to close the account early.

The poster you quoted wrote "reg bank account". Assuming that was meant to refer to a bank account outside of Key, the instructions will be different for each bank and many banks do not offer this service at all.

Correct, I did it with chase. Though most banks should offer external transfers. It's a fairly simple process online, if you can't figure it out call up your bank.

Cmiiw but my understanding was its the same way you always unload. Transfer to bank.
