Did bluebird count as a direct deposit for anyone? On the list on DOC it doesn't count it. What works?

The web site rejected me for an account as soon as I submitted the last page of the application. It said I should open the account at the branch. Anyone else rejected?
If I do go to a branch, would they honor the offer code? Would they accept a credit card for the opening deposit?

I made a transfer from chase and it says direct deposit. Think the terms said that it takes 60 days to get the bonus.

i asked them when i should expect it and this was the response

I did a DD through bluebird and i want to know if it worked as a DD for the bonus, should I call them and ask? Or does that raise red flags for them? How did you do the DD?

from my employer. although you can send them an online message. so ask when you should expect it and c their response

why do banks send a 1099 for the bonuses? The rules are they only have to send if it's $600 or above.
