Gift cards
You can buy gift cards at samsclub.com to get the Amex credit. Samsclub.com sells many physical and egift cards at a discount. You can also buy Sam's Club gift cards at face value with free shipping. Sam's Club gift cards can be used either at Sam's Club in club, samsclub.com, at Walmart stores and walmart.com.
Gift of membership cards can be used as regular $45 gift cards. If you ship these to most states, sales tax is added to your order but your card will still only be worth $45. You will get your full value only if you can ship them to one of the few states where sales tax is not added.
For a completely free purchase, use the Sam's Club Android app to buy two $10 Sam's Club gift cards, or four of them if you are splitting the payment between two enrolled Amex cards. Just as a data point, i placed 19 orders between yesterday and today, and they all shipped via UPS with delivery for Thursday. Orders from last week with the free shipping has an arrival date of Friday!

I did mine in secaucus, the person you need to speak to is Julio, he manages the front end on Fridays (don't know about the other days). Initially they said no changing items, then when I explained that I wasn't getting the full deal due to my kosher diet restrictions, he ok'd it.

In secaucus they insisted on only food items. The total food value on the voucher is $22.50 they where kind enough to go up till $26. As an aside the salsa is actually kosher, if you eat triangle k.

Idk if this has been mentioned but being that I haven't seen it after reading most of the thread I'll post it. I signed up for membership over the phone & rep told me its cancellable within first yr. not only that but since i put the charge on my Amex card and got a $20 credit I come out $20 ahead without needing to buy a gc on that card

That depends if they refund via check or back to the credit card that was used to pay for membership. If the latter, to avoid getting the credit reversed, you would have to wait long enough so that AmEx loses track of the original transaction.

You think I can request a check? Also if I cancel b4 sep 30 and they refund to card can I use the offer then or u need to re-register for the offer in such a scenario?
