I doubt that's possible, aren't they "preloaded" or something like that? As opposed to store gift cards

Only MC. But the CSR told me I could go to WM and buy GCs with Visa/Amex and use it in SC.

Usually with Walmart GCs, no activation is necessary. It's probably the same with SC GCs.

Went to SC today, the 1 $40 SCGC that I managed to get before they discontinued worked fine.
However the $50 SCGCs did not work. They need some sort of activation or confirmation.

Anyone with similar experience?

They should have send you an email to activate it.

When you ordered them, and they shipped, you should have gotten two emails. one with tracking info. and one with a confirmation link

I consolidated 8 SC $50s for 2 Walmart $200 e-GCs on walmart.com which got e-mailed within 10 minutes.
Great way to purchase bigger ticket items on SC. Although you should compare prices on both sites.

I just ordered a gas grill from Walmart which not only was $20 less than on SC but had free shipping vs $32 on SC.
Kind of nuts how SC is shooting themselves in the foot by tacking on shipping on hundreds of items that did not have it 2 weeks ago. Yes, same parent company but if they're trying to woo new SC customers, they're doing an awful job.

I just hope they loosen up on the shipping stupidity over the coming weeks. As I still have dozens of registered AMEX cards.
BH got a nice number of SC GC before they added shipping to them.

If an underlying reason for creating this AMEX/SC promotion was to bring in more new members,
I think adding shipping charges onto hundreds of items that previously had Free Shipping is more than an "inconvenience".....
Cutting off 20 & 40 GCs from website more than inconvenient as well.

Bottom line: You want new customers? Make it easy to spend money with you. Don't keep throwing up road blocks to make it more difficult. THAT is stupid.

I had no problem spending $10 to get a $50 GC. But as I mentioned in an earlier post, where's the logic in having the exact item with free shipping on Walmart but add $32 for shipping on SC? With that kind of game plan, why would I think twice to even look at SC website AFTER 9/30 when this is all over? If pricing were similar or lower, at least I would look.

I think the idea that they had in mind was for people to patronize sam's club not just place orders for the $20 or $40 for free on multiple orders and then head for the hills and not stick with them. Someone there is not stupid and sees what is being done and is trying to stop the bleeding.

I wonder if they didn't realize how many people have many multiples of cards to take advantage of the deal.  Maybe they thought it would be one per person?

I get that.  I have much less issue with them yanking the 20s & 40s than I do with the added shipping fees.

It would be nice if they would be efficient about it and sell egift cards of any specified amount like Walmart.com sells. Instead they are wasting resources to print and ship physical cards that many of their customers do not want or need.
