I have 11 $20 SC GC. I bought them all on the first day or two of the promotion. I got the confirmation emails advising me to activate, and even got a reminder email to activate, for eight of them.

I didn't bother to activate when I first got the emails. Now it's 10 days since the reminder email. When I clicked through the links, I got "The activation code you have entered is not valid. Please try again."

I have so far peeled the tamper-proof backing off the card number and security code for two of the cards, and checking each one on the WM website, each indicates $20 value.

Questions:
1. Does the $20 value indicate that the card does not need to be activated?
2. Can I assume that each of the cards has the $20 value, without peeling all the stickers off and checking each one?

I should add: my plan is to use the physical cards at WM, not online, if that makes a difference in your guidance. Thanks.

If you want to activate your Sam's gift cards and you don't have the activation email. Try this. Log into your Sam's account. In the bottom left you will have the option to activate your gift cards.

wont help, you need the code in the link in the email. its something like this

http://samsclub.comxxxxxxxxxxxx/xxxxxxx=2562

2562 being the code the website will ask for.

i didn't get the sams club offer on my additional cards as amex sent me a bad batch of cards.i called and they added it to only one card. i hucad and the supervisor added it to all my cards

Here's an easy way to see if they are ready to use: Go to Walmart.com, buy a $40 Walmart eGift card and pay with the two $20 cards you have. If it works, you should have a $40 Walmart eGift card in your inbox within a few hours that you will have no doubt is activated.

How long is it supposed to take till a gift card is activated?
I received the card today, I went back to the activation email and I clicked the like where it said "pending activation" it said that it will take 30 minutes.
5 hours later and it's not working yet when I go to activate it again it says there was an error, if I go again through their link it says thus card has already been sent for activation.
Anyone with experience?

Same thing happening to me ... very annoying. Every time I check, they say that I have to go to the store with receipt to activate. That's ridiculous.

Just go to store and try to use it, or go online and try to use it. The activation links never worked for me, but the cards were active.

Online it doesn't work at least not by Walmart.
