Does anyone have any experience with TigerAir?

I'm looking to fly HKG-SIN and have two options:

CX using Avios (10k+$21/person) or TigerAir ($102/person).

CX includes KSML, free seat selection, 20kg free checked bag and a 7kg carry on.

TigerAir only includes a 10kg carry on, but for a fair comparison I included a pre-selected seat and a 20kg checked bag per person in the price above.

You'd have to value Avios at less than 0.8cpp to make CX a better deal.

My question is really whether it's worth it to book CX even if it's more expensive to avoid TigerAir or it TigerAir is really not that bad.

I would say go with CX.

I am deciding what to take SIN-DPS RT. Very cheap with low budget, but not sure i want to rely on them. Decisions decisions...

True, true. In reality, although I wouldn't be buying the pre-assigned seat and probably ony 15kg of checked bags, so it would be closer to $92 total, not $102. Why would you think TigerAir isn't reliable?

I flew Tiger from SIN to SGN and they weren't super strict on their baggage policy. For a short flight Tiger isn't a bad option.

They weren't strict on their carry-on weight or checked in weight?

i dont recall 100% but it certainly wasnt bad enough to leave an impression

Is there a way to see if these flights on time history? Do you need to get to the airport 2 hrs before international flight like hkg-cnx, usm-sin? What about domestic?

There's a recent story about a scoot flight that was delayed over 20 hours and now I'm starting to see more stories of them being terrible with delays. I have a reservation with them to fly from hkt to sin on a Friday morning. Do I need to be nervous?

being nervous will make the delay not happen? have a plan b
