Heres the idea.
When you are actively following a deal, and you posted there, you can quickly see new activity in your 'new replies' link. Eventually, this becomes irrelevent, so you tire of following it (closely).

Other deals, you just happen upon, like the thread title catches your attention. Why should a topic that you once posted in get less of a chance for you to see, than a new topic, or a topic you never posted in.

For example, suppose I have an issue with Uber. So i post my question in the Uber thread. I see whats going on, get some replies, and issue gets resolved. Now what should i do? I am interested in perhaps helping others who may have issues with Uber, and I certainly want to be informed if there is some deal or quirk that is posted there. But I dont want it to show in 'new replies' tab. That is reserved for active issues that I have that I am very involved in. But if I ignore it, i will lose visibility of it.

I'm not sure if thats eliraps's issue, but I think that it is, and it is mine as well.

Best plan for the OP is to just "mark selected read".
helps for about 2 days
A "show favorite" option sounds like a good idea.

Is there a way to search for posts from a specific author within a specific thread?

I'll search that username while in that thread but its a hit-or-miss. I'm curious to know if anyone has a different way.

IME it only picks it up if that post was quoted in the thread
Workflowy. You won't know what you're missing until you try it.

Sure, one you have that thread open, hit the search button (on the upper LEFT of the screen, beneath today's date). In the 'By User' field, remove the *, and replace with the specific user.

ETA--this is when you are searching for a word that he said.

If all of us fail he'll have to find it himself anyways. :)
