It seems to be automated. So far (in about a week) I got about $7 back, from two Amazon purchases. They actually do a whole bunch of stores, but I buy lots of things from Amazon

I don't want to be a thread killer... To me this company seems too ignorant that they don't forsee what sensitive info they are asking for, OR they are planning to make a big business out of peoples inboxes in the background

Weather they get cashback or not, they can make good business with just the info on peoples purchasing behaviour.

Either way play safe with them if you wish to by creating an inbox just for them as the op suggested

There is a top rated app "slice" that does this for free. It scans email and pulls all tracking numbers and tracks your packages. If the price drops it alerts you and sends email template.

Slice isn't meant to do this, it's more of a side benefit of app that tracks all packages by scanning your email.

For some stores on the list it's not enough to give them the email, they also want to link to the account.
