My experience there was horrible....
We had a bad experience, but you can't beat the value. I'm booking for the next few summers.

Thanks.
Its just for my wife and I so will hopefully do it with points. Is it a kosher hotel? As in kosher restaurant/room service?
Ramada with points?

Anyone been to Hilton Tel Aviv for Shabbat?  Waldorf J'lem may be booked but want to use my free Hilton weekend certificate in Israel on an upcoming trip.

It's a big difference being in Jerusalem or TLV for shabbat. If you want Jerusalem (which will be much nicer), than sell your cert, and find a different hotel in Jerusalem.
It's a shame to let the cert dictate your vacation schedule and experiences.

Want to stay at Sheraton TA with wife and 2 kids (3yo and 1yo).  When I search for rooms with 2 adults, 1 kid, I get a 12k points rate, but when I search with 2 kids, I get no points options.  Can I officially book with 2 adults, 1 kid, since the second kid is under 2?  Or could I only do so "unofficially"?

So I called and they said they're fine throwing a crib in there for same points but it'll just be a tight squeeze.  Hope that's helpful to anyone with the same question ...

I definitely agree. Really depend what kind of atmosphere you're looking for. I like the Hilton TLV because I find it very relaxing and they have a shul with rabbi, but most of the hotel guests don't keep shabbos.. Only 1 lift out of 4 is shabbos lift. Doesn't bother me :-)

We stayed at the Hilton TA for Shabbat and it was very nice and they had a shul on-site, that my husband used.  They were very accommodating of whatever we needed (ie. gave grape juice for kiddush at breakfast, etc.) do note though that unlike the Waldorf Astoria in Jerusalem they do not give an automatic late checkout so you will need to book Friday and Saturday night.  Yes, there were non-observant people around doing their thing and it was a different vibe then our next weekend in Jerusalem at the Waldorf but there were plenty of Shomer Shabbat people too and for us it was especially nice and relaxing since we just arrived, were jet-lagged and just wanted to rest!
