Took it to a cheesy computer store which i knew would charge more than anywhere else.
All that was broken was the left mouse button was permanently pressed down (and still worked somewhat)

Paid $563 for the laptop.
Cost to provide estimate was $70 (paid by amex)
estimate to repair was $215
Refunded me $703 back on my amex. Subtract the $70 i laid out for the estimate and they paid $70 more than i originally paid.

Amazing!
This is truly the most underutilized AMEX benefit next to return protection!

Definitely got lucky.
I mean, i used a laptop for 2 years. Didnt pay a red cent for it in the end and made $70 off amex and $230 off some fool on ebay who bought it for parts.

Return protection is also for SPG? (or just the gold/plat?)

It obviously depends what it is. I also have a corp discount available with UPS.
