« on: May 19, 2015, 01:00:23 PM »
Hi,

I'm flying united in June. Is there any way for me to have the baggage fee waived?

You've been a member since 2008, and you still opened a new thread for this question ? P.s. Open a United card

I opened a United card but since I didn't pay for the ticket with it I'm not sure they will waive the baggage fee. CS told me it's up to the airport if I show them the card

I just flew on an award ticket purchased from a gold member and paid the taxes with that members United card and both ways I had to pay even though I showed them my United Card

IME as long as the mileage number on the card and your ticket match... It should be automatic.

did the mileage number on your ticket and the card match?

Even when flying on an award ticket you can put in your mileage number.

Try to wait around at the airport and find a guy on your flight who isn’t using all his luggage allowance and check it under his name.
