Ehh, not so much. It's EDM - from the sounds of things, no one on this thread would be into EDM at the best of times. Mix in a frum DJ trying way too hard, and a talented genius playing talentless hack, and here we are.
I'm not familiar - what's EDM?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electronic_dance_music
Quote
Electronic dance music (also known as EDM, electronic dance, dance music, club music, or simply dance) is a broad range of percussive electronic music genres produced largely for nightclubs, raves, and festivals. Produced for playback by disc jockeys (DJs), EDM is generally used in the context of a live DJ mix where the DJ creates a seamless selection of tracks by segueing from one recording to the next.

The "electronic dance music" and the initialism "EDM" was adopted by the U.S. music industry and music press as a buzzword to describe the increasingly commercial American electronic music scene that developed in the 2000s. In this context, EDM does not refer to a specific genre, but serves as an umbrella term for several genres like house, trance, hardstyle, hardcore, drum and bass, dubstep, techno, grime, trap and all subgenres.
Thanks.

After the last three pages of controversy about coping CDs, you should give a link choice: For all those hold that it's permitted to download the album for free (or that don't give a...), click JewishMusic.fm . For all those who hold that coming is forbidden, the album is now available on MostlyMusic.com
When you click Download on that site, it takes you to amazon to purchase the album.
Workflowy. You won't know what you're missing until you try it.

It's definitely the worst attempt I've ever heard at EDM

Today I had a storm going in Isreal on both sides, if it's either ok, or not, to bring Trans Music--EDM etc.--into our gated community.

My initial feelings on B.S Blesofsky's album are that it is basically a Yeedle album with a less annoying voice. I.e. a well produced album, with great musicianship, fun songs, a couple of beautiful ballads, and less than stellar - though tolerable - vocals.

Seeing the videos he has put out over the past few years, I was expecting a lot of cringe-worthy material, including cheesy lyrics, over-the-top theatrics attempts at sounding "hip."
Looking at the track list, Screaming your Name and Shuva jumped out at me as potential culprits. I was pleasantly surprised. Shuva - a remix of a Chabad Niggun - was tastefully done and was not given the inappropriate beat or techno arrangement I was expecting. Scream your Name has simple -not cheesy - lyrics, set to a powerful melody with fantastic vocal and musical arrangement. (vibes of "Stay")

A Guteh Voch is another standout which has hip hop as its driving style, and Bishvili is another fun song - though I much prefer the arrangement to his interpretation of the lyrics. Lo yemalet and vayechulu have that distinct Yeedle sound, with the former getting the signature Blesofsky riffs and style. The rest is pretty forgettable.

Again, these are first impressions, and will likely change as time goes on.

Overall, as I said above about a typical Yeedle production, it's a fun album with a few beautiful songs thrown in to keep it interesting. The vocals aren't the strongest, but the production and musical arrangements are terrific.

His pathetic marketing strategy is to create some "controversy" over his music... No one cares anymore.

every time I see something about Lipa I am more convinced that he went off the deep end. 20 pairs of glass and M& Ms on his yarmulka?
