I just saw that Benny Friedman's Russian song from his new CD is copying a tune from the Russian song called "kalinka".
"Shulem@IamShulemWe all have our differences, and that's what makes us beautiful. This original song I co-wrote is from my debut album "The Perfect Dream" and is a message to each and every one of us as individuals, as minorities and as humanity at large. Let's embrace our diversity, outshine hate with unity and love everyone as we Face the Unknown."https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=cA2r4dBBAXwAt what point is it still "Jewish Music"?...
Any idea why Benny Friedman's new album is not on Google music? His other albums are all there
it's good to be a Lubavitcher
An album came out a few years ago from a group called The [Something] Brothers. (That's not exactly it, of course, but if I could remember what it was, you wouldn't be seeing this.) They were an actual band that played instruments. Ads for the album appeared in the usual places, and might have used "organic" or "authentic." Does anyone here know the album I'm talking about? Please help.
WOW!
beautiful. Just wish there would be less “shtick” and electric sound, more organic music.
Agreed. But his arrangements, whether you go for the electrical shtick or not, are top notchDare I say better than Yisroel Lam........
I would say diffrent, yisroel has very simple stuff, but nice.Dikman has nothing you (or anybody) would think of... and its Good!
Well said.
