Indeed a magnificent rendition. The sheer musical genius of Reb YomTov Ehrlich accentuated by the pure emotion of Avraham Fried - it's really breathtaking. There was talk about him putting out a third volume of Yiddish Otzros. I hope it comes to fruition.

We're not just talking about downloading YouTube videos, which would be problematic in its own right, but downloading videos that you know the artist is planning on removing from the internet. There are numerous reasons they do this, including the one you mentioned.

Artists, especially those of the caliber of Avraham Fried, are extremely particular about the quality of the videos that are put out.

Looks like Miami Boys Choir launched a subscription service to access all their videos and audio for $60 a year. I am skeptical about the viability of such a venture, but I find it interesting nevertheless.
