Here's a thread I started a while back where I randomly drop songs I feel are forgotten or underrated:

I checked this out on another device last night, and I really enjoyed it. I found it ironic that we both included a song from Avodas Tzedakah/Sunshine in the Rain, which is a really obscure album. I also loved that you included Shma B'ni from Gertner - it probably should've gone on my list too.

Great choice, but in my house it was never forgotten or underrated. This Hillel Palay classic is still played quiet often. Though it has been a while since I heard it elsewhere...

Im Yihiye
It's a great song, but, as was many songs on that album, the style was a little too eccentric IMO to sustain a mainstream spot. If anything, the most underrated/forgotten song on that album is Ki Eloyim Yoshiya Tzion, Yossi Green's reincarnation of the Oid Yeishvu genre. (Modim is also a great song, but I've heard it recently at a wedding seuda).

Ve'oz Yihyu
Absolutely. This is one of the reasons behind:

This thread gave me an idea.

I jumped on the 8th Day bandwagon along with most of the rest of the world, after their first explosive song, Yalili. Although I had a friend who used to rave to me about this talented duo called 8th Day, I never bit, and it was only after Yalili took the world by storm that I listened to a few of their famous songs. The first album I bought was actually the subsequent one, All You Got, and I purchased every new album since, besides Lucky.

But... I'm starting to find their style a bit more abstract. Although their talent is outstanding, I used to enjoy a much higher ratio of songs than I do now. I don't think it's anything negative about them, it's just that I personally have more of an affinity toward the slower, more hartzig style melodies.

After reading your list and seeing the old 8th Day songs on it, I think I'm going to go to a store tomorrow and, instead of buying Lucky, I'll buy the first albums instead.

There are no such songs on Lucky, so good choice.

IMHO, their best album is probably Brooklyn

Iinm, it was on an album made by the composer, R' Benny Hershkowitz, who also wrote Ein Aroch from Made in Canada. It is covered by others, including Benny insert Dan Joke Here Friedman's Shabbos album.

If you purchase the album (with the rights that come along with it), I will be more than happy to upload my digital files to Google Drive and send you the link.

My rov (and every other rov I spoke with) holds that it is assur to copy albums, or to help others get the digital music when they didn't buy the album. So I'm only willing to send it if you own the rights.

One note: the version I have is from the CD that comes along with the book. It only has two tracks - side one and side two, and it has a sound that indicates when to turn the page. The songs are not split into individual tracks.
