I am disappointed that the knowledgeable folk here on DDF, like the type who play airportle, have not yet pounced on the fact that United does not have direct flights from LGA to LAX.
Pretty sure we covered that on this thread

Random throwback, though not too far - my throwing arm is pretty weak ;)

Zeh Lazeh, off Fried's Kama Tov Shenifgashnu.

A great song that Fried agreed is underrated: https://mishpacha.com/avraham-fried-favorites-zeh-lazeh/

Does anyone here know where I can hear this (as mentioned recently in Mishpacha)

without having to either "demonstrate a legitimate scholarly or research purpose" to Dartmouth
College
or pay someone or other on eBay about 30 bucks plus shipping (and find a record player)?
Do you want to play a board game, digitally or in Lakewood NJ? PM me. (Can be asynchronous, i.e. take turns whenever)

Posting on DDF is already more effort than required to demonstrate legitimate research purposes

Registering for the Dartmouth database is easier than it sounds - I signed up with my Google account and the reason I gave was something like "I am interested in Jewish music and finding out about old music that's not so easy to find" and I got approved.

I just tried to register, do you need any kind of affiliation to join?

ETA: lol, already approved with "I like Jewish music" as my justification

Is there any other recording of "Bring Us Back" from Tzil V'Zemer Volume 6? This is the one I have found:
https://open.spotify.com/track/6UbPK9rhvwosGjGotsz308?si=f7b0a7adefa54b7f

Is it on any kind of concert albums, such as HASC?

Iinm, tzlil v'zemer did not appear on HASC, and I don't think there are any official concert recordings.

In America! I happened to have been in Israel when it came out. Everyone there was going crazy over it, so I bought it and got really into it. But when I came back here, it was almost completely unheard.

The title track, Kama Tov, was released earlier as a single. It's an unbelievable song IMO, and I went crazy over it. So when the album came out, I was expecting a lot, and I gave it the time and attention needed to really enjoy it.

I once heard that it says in a sefer somewhere (was never able to find it) that good music doesn't sound great the first time you hear it, but it sounds better and better every time you hear it. This album had a lot of such songs. Many people just lost patience after hearing it once or twice.

On this note, I heard an interview with Fried and his producer, Yuval Stupal, about the album Keep Climbing. They joked that the song "Retzoneinu Lir'os Es Malkeinu" is great because you only start enjoying it after hearing it five times. People who steal music, they said, only listen once or twice, but someone who invests money into an album will listen to it more times, so only they will be able to appreciate the beauty of the song.

Now that I stream music I am certainly guilty of skipping new songs if they don't grab me immediately.

TBH - other than cassettes (and 8 tracks?) it's always been pretty easy to skip songs (records, CDs, MP3s).

I meant in terms of not investing any extra money for a specific cd.
