I just bought the album at Aisle 9 in Lakewood. They charged $21 for it, but the first track justified that price. After hearing the second, I would pay $121. And I'm only getting started.
I have no words. As the album plays, I try to focus on all the "critic" things, like the music, mixing, etc, but I am finding that impossible. Everything just melts away before the magical, ultra-precise brilliance of the lyrics carried by such meticulously soulful tunes. The painfully raw emotions of each line is so blatant, it's almost overwhelming.
I don't think I am going to post anything further about this album for now. Maybe later, when I get to know it a lot better, I'll be in a better position to take a step back and look at it from an objective angle.
