Ten yad used to have a women's event. I'm assuming they got a lot more participation in the last couple years on the live streams that they feel that's a better path.

Why are live stream concerts still a thing in 2022?

Turns out it's to show that no matter who else is in the show, and no matter what goes wrong with show, from sound to broadcast or bad music, Avraham Fried will always tower above everyone else.

Personally, I was let down by the finale. I didn't watch the whole thing but while I did notice a few good Shtikelach, there were no real wow moments or powerful moments. I think the best part I watched was the violinist. He was amazing.

I find this hard to believe - the Shalsheles guys are Camp Munk friends, not sure how they would've been connected to Shwekey.

This is definitely true. Only Rosenthal and Sussman were friends from Munk. The others tried out together with Shwekey.

Quite funny to read comments from people wondering why they didn't do "a sound check" before the show, or another comment purporting to be from one of the people on stage that "the feed is sent through a company in Israel" and then sent back to the stage.

Perhaps they were confusing it with VisuaLive an israeli company which does the lights and has a special software for the donation sliders, it can be controlled from anywhere. (They have a guy in Brooklyn working for them)
