I was looking around on Shabbos trying to find the makor for all the siddurim writing כאן צריך להפסיק by כל אלהי העמים אלילים and I couldn't find one. That would be a kashya on this no?
I posted those on the fly as a mareh mokom. ..
Upon further review, the first gemara the concern is the opposite. Rovo said that one should not pause after saying hashems name without finishing the sentence, because it sounds like shem shomayim levatala.
The maskona of the gemara is that this is not a concern, because your daas is to finish, and therefore one may pause. (This is the pesak- tos)
It would seem from this gemara that we do look at your daas, and are not concerned with minor pauses. But this case is not exactly the same as the one in the siddur.
The second gemara may or may not be another proof that we go by the meaning not by the "semantics". Depending on how you learn the gemaras terutz.
Lemaaseh the best place to look would be in the poskim in hilchos tefila.. Il see if I find anything when I get a chance.
