A moral I just learnt- If you're gonna have a fight, try to do it in a way that the whole world doesn't know about it.
It's way less fun to fight privately, how will everybody know that the other side is wrong?!?!?

JoeyShmoe: ;-) . I wish I would know the details. What could be the cause of such strife that caused CDs to be pulled from the shelves and the non-production of HASC 28 DVD. Many contracts have been terminated in the past without nearly as dire of results.

There was a Yeedle/MBD/Gal Paz feud a couple of years ago (the "action" was mainly in Israel, very nasty, don't wanna go into details) a couple of MBD's albums are off the shelves. I remember a friend of mine looking for The Double Album (produced by Gal Paz) and couldn't find it anywhere. I guess this stuff happens unfortunately

Can someone explain this to me - What is the point of taking albums off the shelves? Don't both parties lose by doing that?

If one side is getting gypped (lets imagine they split 90%-10%), they'd rather the other person lose everything so they could agree to a more favorable deal. While they might lose a few bucks in the process, if they can bump up the cut 80-20 or 70-30 they will stand to gain much more in the long term.

I don't think they take them off the shelves, I believe they stop production and when the stores run out they don't get new ones, CMIIW

According to your theory it should still be for sale/download online.

They may have notified the distributors that they can't sell it anymore once the hard copies run out

I am no expert in this field but I don't see the logic in doing that. After all, who still buys hard copies in today's day and age?

True, but if they're fighting already how will they split the profits? At this point everybody claims that they deserve more (just theorizing here)

Yitchok Fuchs' new CD is amazing!

The low part to song 2 - "Kohanecha" is exactly the same as Tzlil Vezemer's "B'tzais Yisrael", which is exactly the same as the Melodians' "Rivers of Babylon".

whyME: There are many different ones but I'll tell you a few that come to mind. Beats by Yoily Greenfeld and Even Al got rave reviews. It's a more modern style heavy album in the Even Al style. The Second Dance 2 is a great album with a focus on real and high quality music. The sound is amazing but I personaly didn't enjoy the song selection. Many of the songs were old songs and I enjoy newer style songs. The Simchas HaChaim series, numbers 1-4, are more Chassidish, but is one-man-band music. There's Dance with Meshorerim, which is pretty good. I didn't like that they paired up the songs with the singers who originally sang them and missed the opportunity to create original combos. If you're not looking for new stuff, then you could try Dance With Shloime Daskal (not Tanz - that's much older and is one-man-band) which is pretty good. Other older stuff which is good is Project X 3 with Daskal and Shwekey Besimcha, if you like Shwekey. I definatly missed many good albums, but I'm writing this off the top of my head.

Thanks! I'll have a look at all these.

just got the project relax cd with leiner and levine (favorite voice in jewish music) and really enjoying it.  In particular besheim hashem (track 13).  I think its originally benny friedman who sings that? If someone can point me in the direction of other versions of that song as well as completely different songs with that same posuk for lyrics I would appreciate it.

Springles: The original is sung by Benny Friedman on his album Yesh Tikva. There is another recent song to the words Mimini Michael sung by Motti Steinmetz on Rechnitz's album Shir.
