Springles: The original is sung by Benny Friedman on his album Yesh Tikva. There is another recent song to the words Mimini Michael sung by Motti Steinmetz on Rechnitz's album Shir.
thanks!
let me know if you think of any other songs with the posuk of besheim hashem.  or the use of all the malachim in any song.

Springles: There are songs with the words Beshaim Hashem on the following albums: Mendy Wertzberger, one of the Acheinu albums (resung on Project Relax 1), and ABD (an album made by a few Toronto people).

The most famous is probably carlebach's.

On another note does anyone else start singing chaim dovid's song every time they say ushpizin on sukkos?

In particular besheim hashem (track 13).
In my personal opinion that's the best Jewish song of the decade.

Baruch: It's interesting that it wasn't composed by a mainsteam composer. It was composed by Marc Levine. Many other "songs of the centery" were also composed by non-mainsteam composers.

Baruch: A few that come to mind are: Hastura (Yoily Klein), Vehi She'amda (Yonason Razel), Ki Hirbeisa, and Veyiyu Rachamecha (Eli Beer). There are more, but I can't remember them offhand.

How about another Song of the Day? Wait, I've been doing these without checking with you first anyway.

Instead of just one song, check out this Yehuda Piamenta Playlist from a benefit concert in Texas.

That's some good music you probably haven't heard right there .

Interesting wording in this article about the new song האבות הקדושים by Meir Gafni.  (The link also contains the song)
 http://www.thejewishinsights.com/wp/mona-rosenblum-ruled-avos-hakedoshim-recieve-soft-arrangement/

It says that there was a big machloikes whether the song should be fast or slow and Mona paskened slow so it's slow.
What bothers me is that he sings עוד יזכור לנו אהבת איתן אדונינו.  Many machzorim today point out that the correct form is to stop after the word איתן so that you are not saying avraham is our God.
If he played it for so many people I am surprised no one noticed.

The original עוד יזכור from London boys also sang it this way and on one the Mona albums a sefardic singer ( something Nadav?) sings it correctly.

End rant

By וכל מאמינים - when a chazzan says הלן בסתר, בצל שקי - it irritates me to no end. (it supposed to be a comma between בצל and שקי
