I just came across again the Recorded Sound Archives (RSA) part of FAU Libraries Digital Collections which has a tremendous amount of old Jewish Albums! I was pleasantly surprised to see that they have redone everything so now I can listen to it on my ipad.

The biggest chiddush though was that I never knew Uncle Moishy didn't create big gedalya goomber.  See here https://rsa.fau.edu/album/43389

Many of their albums you can hear the whole album - this one unfortunately is only snippets.

Anyone know why Yochi Briskman numbers his productions?
Shwekey's 2nd thru 5th albums were numbered (and probably Cry no more as well), Boruch Levine also 2-5, we got SL2 for Simcha Leiner and now Yumi Lowy's 2nd album is numbered as well!

im trying to remember a niggun and figured maybe someone here can help me out. its a yiddish song about r' chanina ben teradyon, about how he was burnt with a sefer torah but he watched the oisios fly up to the heavens. ring a bell to anyone?

Mendy Wald Sameach - Track 7 Der Kedusha Lebt. IMHO one of the nicer heartfelt songs/albums in Jewish Music.
