Anyone else here compose songs? It seems to me at least that it's hard to get any quality singer to seriously consider anything (time to drain the swamp ).. If there's anyone else out there in same situation- maybe we can work on something together.. (Or at least start a new "composers corner" thread)

Would anyone think that this is a Jewish CD?

Are you getting your music from Telegram? Thats where I saw it, first on a channel for "free" (read: stolen) jewish albums and then on a far smaller channel (seemingly the source) dedicated to alternative Jewish music.
There's no problem copying it, as the albums available for free on bandcamp anyway https://themountaindudes.bandcamp.com/releases.
Talking about weird jewish covers, The Portnoy Brothers (supposedly a frum group) debut album's art was far weirder. Great album tho.

+1000 on Shwekey's song selection. I think that the album has all the components to make it really big: a big name, a nice original cover, a great song selection, nice arrangements, and a great feel-good sound, and then some. And IMO there's something special on it for everybody. (My personal favorate is the journeys medley.)
We've been listening to it on Google Play. It's very nice. My wife wants to buy it.

Question: It's actually cheaper on Google Play than on Amazon (or any of the Jewish sites I checked).

Is an album purchased on Google Play easily accessible to download to put in my music collection (to be played on players besides Google Play)?

Sure. They let you download each of your albums a limited number of times (2 or 3 IIRC), but 1 should be enough anyways.
Workflowy. You won't know what you're missing until you try it.

Yes good point. There's also a windows app that you can install that will sync your music files to google play, and IINM it's unlimited too.

Last week the Jewish music world lost one if its pioneers, Eli Lipsker.

Having played countless weddings and simchas, he likely played the weddings of dozens of ddf members' parents. He was one of the earlier proponents of kids choirs and recording Jewish music. He taught music to hundreds of children, and was the "house musician" in 770.

His books teach people to play Chabad niggunim, his recordings teach nusach, and most Chabad children grew up with his Pesach tape.

Here is Avraham Fried discussing his start in Eli Lipsker's choirs:

And here is the song mentioned in that clip, Tzomo:
