Don't waste your time - jacket doesn't have the composer for this song.

Ohr Chodosh vol. 1, on which Shmelkie's Niggun is featured, was first released in 1971. However, in Marvelous Middos 3, Shnookie Schapiro goes back in time to 1968, three years before Ohr Chodosh's release, and Shmelkie's Niggun is playing at a chasunah.

Did he by any chance play pool when he was younger?

That's pretty cool, and helps explain why he isn't as know as a personality like his (musical) peers.

What's some other trivia about those albums?
Has he dipped back into it at all?

I have very few albums from the early years, most of my albums are from the 2000s and 2010s. I could try to post the pics of the early one's I have, though there are too many of the later ones and there is probably not so much interest from the public.

There's a story that Yaakov Shwekey recently told where he and Yochi Briskman were trying to figure out who composed Vhareinu Hashem...Ki ata hu baal hayeshuos and they were having difficulty until they happened to meet Yona Weinreb who told them he was the composer. (Simchatone 2)

There should be open repository of all old (and new!) jackets for this purpose, it's important historically and for people looking to credit original composers.

I've been looking for the Visions jacket for a while. Can you upload that?

I can tell your age based on which albums you bought in Israel. 32-33?
